Paul Lucien Maze, French, 1887 to 1979, a pastel on paper painting depicting a red-haired woman sitting on a chair in a landscape. Signed lower right. Housed in a n old carved gilt wood frame. Paul Lucien Maze was an Anglo-French painter. He is often known as The last of the Post Impressionists and was one of the great artists of his generation. His mediums included oils, watercolors and pastels and his paintings include French maritime scenes, busy New York City scenes and the English countryside. Provenance: Christies Auction house.
