Serge Beaune, a 20th century French artist, color etching on paper depicting a battle scene from Lillustration magazine, a publication known for its marvelous design and artwork, 1928. Inscribed in French, Chauvigny a Terre Vaincu du Premier Coup de Lance, Chauvigny on the Ground Vanquished with The First Stroke of the Spear. Signed with a monogram in the print, lower left.
