LARGE EARLY MEIJI JAPANESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL PLATE
A large Japanese, early Meiji era, enamel brass charger or plate. The plate is adorned with polychrome images of fans and medallions with floral, geometrical, and mesh ornaments surrounded by a cloud pattern made in the Cloisonne technique. The backside of the ware is decorated with polychrome floral, foliage, scrollwork, and cloud ornaments made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: 1868 to 1877.
