JAPANESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL BRASS AND GOLDSTONE VASE
A vintage Japanese enamel over brass vase. The vase has an amphora shaped body and a fluted neck. The ware is enameled with polychrome medallions depicting butterflies, blossoming flowers, and geometrical compositions, surrounded by floral, foliage, and butterfly patterns made in the Cloisonne technique. The neck is adorned with scaly and butterfly ornaments made in the same technique. The base features scaly and geometrical motifs made in the same technique.
