A lot of Civil War era US fractional currency. 5 Cents banknote, First issue, Fr.1231, with monogram, with Thomas Jefferson on the obverse. 10 Cents banknote, First Issue, Fr.1243, with monogram, with George Washington on the obverse. Four 3 Cents banknotes, Third issue, Fr.1226, with George Washington on the obverse. Fractional currency, also referred to as shinplasters, was introduced by the US federal government due to the coin shortage during the Civil War.
