US ONE DOLLAR SILVER CERTIFICATES WITH WASHINGTON
A lot of antique US banknotes, One Dollar silver certificates. A total of three large-sized paper bills, fr.239, series of 1923, Speelman and White, Woodson and Tate, in blue. The lot also includes a 1914 One Dollar bill of the New York Federal Reserve Bank. Each banknote feature a bust of George Washington. Silver certificates are a type of American representative money issued between 1878 and 1964 in response to silver agitation by citizens who were angered by the Fourth Coinage Act.
