A collection of six rare Russian Art Nouveau erotic postcards by Sergei Lodygin, 1892 to 1948, issued before 1917 by the publishers house Khudozhestvennaya otkrytka, Picture postcard. Lodygin Sergey Petrovich was a Russian artist and graphic artist. Born in Atkarsk, Saratov province. A distant relative of A. N. Lodygin, the inventor of the electric lamp. He studied at the St. Petersburg Institute of Civil Engineers. Published drawings in various magazines. The peak of his creative fame fell in the 1910s, when he successfully collaborated with a number of well-known publications like Capital and Estate, The Sun of Russia, Satyricon, Argus. His work was attributed to the theatrical-illustrated, as well as design art, comparing him with Beardsley, and calling him Russian Beardsley. It was a classic of late Russian Art Nouveau art.
