ORTHODOX ICON OF ST NICHOLAS BY THEODORE JUREWICZ
An Eastern Orthodox icon representing Saint Nicholas of Myra, also known as the Wonderworker, with the blessing figures of Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. The saint is depicted in the Mozhaysk iconography. Titled, dated October 1978 and signed on the backside, Theodore Jurewicz, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. Fr. Theodore Jurewicz, born 1953, is a Polish-American Orthodox priest, the archpriest of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia and iconographer.
