ANTIQUE GERMAN HIRSCHFANGER HUNTING DAGGER C 1841
An antique German hunting dagger featuring a stag horn grip, the brass crossguard with quillons modeled as hunting dogs heads, the brass rain-guard is decorated with an embossed scene depicting dogs hunting a wild boar. The straight steel blade is decorated with a gold-tone engraving depicting an oak branch with two acorns on a blued steel background verso, marked on the ricasso with the date 1841 under the crown, and featuring a gold-tone W monogram encircled by a laurel wreath.
