ISRAELI EXHIBITION WOOD CUT POSTER AFTER UTAGAWA
An Israeli graphic art print on paper after the original wood block print on paper, Sudden Shower Over Shin Ohashi Bridge and Atake, a print of Number 58 from One Hundred Famous Views of Edo, Utagawa Hiroshige Ando, Japanese, 1797 to 1858. Printed for The Tikotin Museum of Japanese Art, Hiroshige Prints, Drawings, Paintings, November 1975 to March 1976, Exhibition. Inscribed and marked in the print to the edges. Framed. Utagawa Hiroshige, born AndÅ Tokutaro, was a Japanese ukiyo e artist, considered the last great master of that tradition. Hiroshige is best known for his horizontal format landscape series The Fifty three Stations of the Tokaido and for his vertical format landscape series One Hundred Famous Views of Edo.
