RUSSIAN PAINTING KISLOVODSK BY SERGEY GERASIMOV
Sergey Gerasimov, Russian, 1885 to 1964, an oil on canvas landscape painting depicting a view of Kislovodsk, a spa city in Stavropol Krai, in the North Caucasus region of Russia which is located between the Black and Caspian Seas. Signed lower right. Framed. Additionally signed and titled to the back. Sergey Vasilyevich Gerasimov was a Soviet and Russian painter. Some of Gerasimovs most famous works were painted during the Stalin era. Many of these paintings are on display to this day at the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
