Philipp Andreevich Maliavine, Russian, 1869 to 1940, prncil painting on paper, portrait sketches depicting two peasant women and a man. Signed and signed with initials lower right. Framed. Andreevich Maliavin was a Russian painter and graphic artist who combined the Modern, Impressionist, and Expressionist styles in his work. Philip Andreevich Malyavin was a prominent Russian portrait painter. A student of Repin, he was known primarily for his sympathetic paintings of peasants with their brilliant color.
