ANTIQUE FRENCH BRONZE THERMOMETER LUXOR OBELISK
An antique 19th-century mercury thermometer mounted on a patinated bronze obelisk figurine covered with Egyptian hieroglyphs. The front is marked in Fahrenheit and Reaumur. The item is a miniature copy of the 3000-year-old Luxor Obelisk in Paris that was moved from the Luxor Temple to the Place de la Concorde in the 1830s.
