ANTIQUE 17TH CENT PERSIAN MINIATURE OF A BATTLE
An antique early 17th-century hand-painted Persian miniature painting. The polychrome miniature represents an equestrian battle, a typical art subject. The painting supplements a hand-written Arabic text. The item is probably a page from a Shahnameh manuscript, a national Iranian epic poem written in the 10th century. White mat, golden frame.
