John Alexander Noble, 1913 to 1983, an American artist known for nautical images of ships and harbors around New York City. An engraving depicting a sailor who tries to fix the sails during the storm. Signed in the lower right, titled Topsail Sheet Hook No.2, dated 1981, numbered 169 out of 295. White mat, wooden frame.
