TURKISH KUTAHYA TRADITIONAL CERAMIC JAR WITH LID
A tall ceramic jar with a lid from Kutahya, Turkey. Kutahya is famous for its handmade ceramic tiles and dinnerware. The jar has a simple elongated form which is complemented with a figurative painted design executed in the manner of traditional Ottoman book miniature. The painting depicts a desert with merchants trading. Signed on the bottom. Turkish Traditional Ceramics Ottoman Art.
