ANTIQUE BRONZE LOUIS XVI MARIE ANTOINETTE MEDAL
An antique French bronze medal with the profile portrait of King Louis XVI with the signature Du Vivier F below and the inscription LUDOVICUS XVI FRANC. AND NAV. REX. On the reverse is the bust of Marie Antoinette, under the bust, there is the signature and date Du Vivier 1781 and the inscription MAR. ANTON. AUSTR. FRANCIÆ AND NAVARR REGINA. The bronze is marked on the edge. Circa late 19th or early 20th centuries.
Dimensions: Diameter 2 7/8" in. All measurements are approximate.
