COLLECTION OF VINTAGE AMERICAN SHOULDER PATCHES
A large collection of various vintage American patches and embroidered badges including Boy Scouts of America insignias, and more. The present lot on auction forms part of the Kuranda's family estate. The provenance of items can be traced back to Felix Kuranda in 19th century Austrian Empire, member of a well known family of bankers and politicians, directly related to the Karpeles, Wittelshofer, Milne and Lederer families. The most chronological recent lots are former belongings from USA veteran Major Thom Stellinger-Scott related through marriage with the Kuranda lineage. He was a veteran of the Korean War as well as a reputed amateur photographer and artist. The Stellinger-Scott family resided for decades at Montauk Long Island NY.
