LOT THREE WA EURENIUS PAINTED CABINET PHOTO CARDS

A lot of three collectible Sweden WA Eurenius & PL Quist hand painted cartes de visite or cabinet photo cards depicting male and female figures of locals in traditional picturesque costumes. From the late 1850s through the latter half of the century, these economical keepsakes circulated en masse and spurred a veritable “cartomania”. One photo is titled in the print, Mora (Dalarne), lower to the center and signed in the print, C. A. Soderman, lower left. All cards are stamped on the back. One marked, Orsa I Dalarna, on verso. Circa 1860s to 1870s. Works from this artists are part of the collection of the MET Museum in New York. Highly collectible items. Cabinet of Oddities and Rarities.
