Impressively Sized Japanese Double-Sided Screen, Depicting Life in Traditional Edo, End of 19th c, Meiji Period

The screen is of giant proportions and built of three pairs of screens connected by hinge.

Depicting in a satisfactory manner traditional life in the Edo Period in full, through numerous scenes crafted in elaborate carving filled with polychrome and painting, given inside a frame base with track wheels (the frame and the wheels were apparently built-in later for adjusting), very good general condition except for light paint flaws.

Total height: 192 cm, total width when the screen is connected: 274 cm.
