(1890 - 1946) Hitler's Chief of Operations who signed the act of military surrender, tried at Nuremburg for war crimes and executed. A.L.S. signed twice 'Jodl' and 'J.' on an oblong 8vo. sheet, [n.p., certainly Nuremberg], Aug. 14, [1946], to a 'Herr Professor Jahrrauss'. In full: 'An American lieutenant tore the document with signature as I handed the sheet - as an authority - to Herr Nolte. I'm sorry.' Light folds, else fine. Sold with an English translation.
