PABLO PICASSO, MANNER OF: PAPER CONSTRUCTION OF A GUITAR
Pablo Picasso (Spanish, 1881-1973), Manner of: Paper Construction of a Guitar, 1912. Paper collage/ sculpture, and pencil, framed. Signed, in pencil, and dated lower right. This item is accompanied by a document stating transfer of ownership from 2007.
Picasso was the most dominant and influential artist of the first half of the twentieth century. Associated most of all with pioneering Cubism, alongside Georges Braque, he also invented collage and made major contributions to Symbolism and Surrealism.
