Robin Nuse (American, 1952-2019): Doylestown, Pa. 1971. Silver gelatin print mounted on rag board, unframed. Limited edition print (143/150) from the 6th annual portfolio of The Photographic Education Society, Rhode Island School of Design, 1972.
Robin Nuse was a painter and visual artist who worked realistically in pastels and oils. Working primarily from her studios in her home in Hanover, New Hampshire and at a retreat on a former dairy farm in northern Vermont, she used her own photographs as inspiration for her subject matter. Light and color played an important role in much of her work. Her subjects ranged from barns and farms to skaters and figures in action in the landscape.
