JOANNES VOLPATO AFTER RAPHAEL: THE EXPULSION OF HELIODORUS FROM THE TEMPLE
Raphael (Italian, 1483-1520): from Raphael Santivs pinx in Aedibus Vaticanis, dedicated to Pio Sxto Pont Max , engraving, c.1775, framed. Dimensions: 24.5 x 31.5" paper; 28.25 x 35.5" frame. Raphael was one of, if not the, most renowned painter and architect of the High Renaissance known for his clarity and technical achievement. This particular print was printed by Joannes Volpato (Italian, 1735-1803), a notable Italian printer, around 1775.
