Educators Progress Service, c. 1950s. - A vintage Educators Index of Free Materials resource file box produced by Educators Progress Service of Randolph, Wisconsin. The collection is housed in a vertical, hinged, red pebble-textured steel flip-top box. The front of the container features a decorative shield-shaped metal label with a yellow banner reading Educators Index of Free Materials in black-letter font. Below the banner is a silver and red shield inscribed with EDUCATORS PROGRESS SERVICE and a central emblem depicting a lamp over a building with an open book at the base marked Est. 1934. The interior contains an assortment of printed index cards and pamphlets with yellowed pages and visible guide tabs, including Introduction and Table of Contents. The front-facing pamphlet is titled Year After Year Over 100,000 Users Prefer CYCLOPEDIC EDUCATORS SERVICES with the subtitle EVERY EDITION A COMPLETE REVISION.
