Vintage Radiant Polish Mop Lithographed Metal Advertising Tin, 1928 - This is an original cylindrical lithographed metal advertising tin for the Radiant Polish Mop, manufactured by the Midway Chemical Company of Chicago, Illinois. The tin features a bright yellow background with a blue-green sunburst border design on the lid. The lid is printed with the brand name RADIANT POLISH MOP and the slogan THE KIND WITH THE STRONG BACK-BONE. Promotional text on the lid details the mop's patented construction and instructions for use on various floor types. A copyright date of 1928 is printed at the bottom of the central text block on the lid. The sides of the tin repeat the branding in large blue-green block letters, accompanied by the slogans High in Quality and Low in Price. A rectangular panel on the side contains partial instructional text regarding surface care with soap and water. The base is constructed of unfinished metal and features an incised maker mark consisting of a capital letter C within a diamond shape.
