Antique Indian Hand Carved Hardwood Triple Sheave Pulley Block - This antique pulley block is carved from a dense hardwood, exhibiting a dark aged patina. The teardrop-shaped housing features an incised eight-petaled rosette or stylized lotus motif on both faces. The block contains three wooden sheaves or wheels mounted on a central axle, designed for use as a multi-part pulley. The top of the tapered shell is fitted with a hand-forged iron loop for suspension.
