US Navy and Industrial Half-Face Respirator with Bureau of Mines Approval B.M. 2115 - A mid-20th-century American half-face respirator, identified by the U.S. Bureau of Mines approval number B.M. 2115 as being manufactured by Willson Products, Inc. of Reading, Pennsylvania. The unit is constructed with a black molded composite nose and mouth guard, edged with a wide, contoured tan rubberized fabric face seal designed for a secure fit. A rectangular metal filter canister is attached to the bottom, featuring a front plate with a perforated circular grid pattern. This canister is held in place by a wide, tan leather strap that wraps around the center of the facepiece. The head harness consists of a three-point adjustable system made of tan elasticized cotton webbing with metal sliding buckles. The metal base of the filter attachment is clearly stamped with the designation B.M. 2115.
