Antique One Million Savings Lantern Still Bank Attributed to Enterprise Manufacturing Co. - This antique still bank is modeled after a late 19th-century carriage or railroad lantern. Attributed to the Enterprise Manufacturing Co. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, it dates to the 1880s or 1890s. The bank is constructed from cast metal and features various inset faceted glass jewels or cabochons in colors including dark garnet and opalescent white. A horizontal coin slot is integrated into the shoulder of the bank. The structure includes a bulbous central body, a tiered and vented chimney, and a top cap with dual eyelets for a bail handle. Embossed lettering on the shoulder rim reads MILLION SAVINGS. Faint markings on the chimney portion below the cap include PAT followed by an illegible numeric sequence.
