1951 Ford Passenger Car Center Hood Ornament on Custom Industrial Display Stand - An original center hood ornament for a 1951 Ford passenger car, mounted on a custom-fabricated industrial-style display stand. The ornament, often referred to as a hood spear, features a streamlined aerodynamic design consistent with the early post-war Jet Age aesthetic. It is constructed of chrome-plated die-cast metal with horizontal embossed speed lines on the forward section. The leading edge features a translucent plastic insert that has aged from its original clear state to a lavender hue due to ultraviolet exposure. The interior underside of the casting is marked with the part number BA-16851 followed by a small manufacturer's logo and the number 7638.
