English Presentation Sword & Dirk Presented by H.M. King George V - A rare and fine example including a matched presentation sword and dirk presented to Chief Cadet Captain Robert Charles Patrick Ellis on December 20th, 1926. Chief Cadet Captain Robert Charles Patrick Ellis was a distinguished British cadet officer who received a ceremonial sword and dirk presented by His Majesty King George V in 1926. This honor was typically bestowed upon top cadets at military academies, recognizing exceptional leadership, discipline, and academic performance. The dirk with a lion head handle is inscribed on the blade PRESENTED BY H.M. KING GEORGE V TO CHIEF CADET CAPTAIN ROBERT CHARLES PATRICK ELLIS / DECEMBER 20th 1926. It is marked on the blade GIEVES. The blade measures approx 18 inches. The accompanying lion head sword blade measures approx 31.5 inches and is in good condition, and comes with its original leather case and is marked on the guard RCP ELLIS/RN. A fine and historical exhibit.
