Early American 15”Large Ash Burl Bowl - Raised rim and raised foot. Great patina with tight burling. No cracks or chips. Bowl shops one side where the construction of this bowl was finished with additional wood, likely due to the original maker not having enough burl to finish out the bowl in its entirety. A unique attribute that shows an early exemplar of ”make do” innovation. An old burl patch in that same area was added long ago. Measures 15 inches wide by 5 inches deep.
