17th c. Miniature Wood Plane - A remarkable 400 year old wood plane dated 1643. Chipped carved from European hard wood and initialed MMT.. Likely Germanic origin. The stock is in excellent and sound condition showing ware from centuries of use. This little plane has a wonderful mellow old patina. Measures 5 3/4” length by 1 1/2” width.
