Illinois Inscribed Pistol - A U.S. Middleton Conn. maritial pistol which is all intact. The metal shows a dark pitted surface. This pistol has a jewelers inscription on the back which reads ”John Rodden, Co. F. 69th Regt”. The 96th was an Illisnois regiment. The consignor questions might this pistol have been a confederate capture? Further research may tell the full tale.
