The booklet was written by the survivor of the Holocaust, the Polish-Jewish historian Dr. Philip Friedman, who wrote the booklet immediately after the Holocaust and the liberation of the camp. The booklet provides a comprehensive overview of the horrible death camp, accompanied by difficult photographs and a sketch of Treblinka.
