Antique Humpback Steamer Travel Trunk - Antique Humpback Steamer Travel Trunk | Wood Approx. Size: 30.5” L x 24.5” H x 20” D | A full size barrel stave top metal covered trunk. It has four long hardwood slats horizontally across the rounded top of the trunk and two hardwood wood slats horizontally on the front, back and sides. There is one center hasp style lock and two cast iron latches on the front. The wood slat ends are attached with fancy stamped steel slat clamps. Black sheet metal strips are in the center portions of the trunk running horizontally, and the outer portions and edges as typical on these trunks. There is also a band of black metal up the center of the front and across the lid. Original hinges in good working condition. The interior metal lid stay is in good working condition. The leather side handles are broken off but the original star pattern cast metal handle holders are present and can be reused with new handles. Wood interior in solid condition, and what appear to be the original caster wheels are attached and working.
