Handwritten Notepad with Parchment Binding. Group of Compositions on Matters of Ritual Slaughter and Gematrias. Italy, 17th Century
Small handwritten notepad containing three compositions:
A. "Kitzur Dinei Shechitah U'Bedikot" [26 pages].
B. "Hilchot Shechitah B'Derech She'elah U'Teshuvah" [23 pages].
C. "Chibur al Gematriot." The writer gathered biblical verses and arranged them according to the Gematria of each of the words of the verse, for example in Gematria 49, he wrote the following verses: אחל"י יכונו דרכי, טוב שכן קרוב מא"ח רחוק אדם להבל דמ"ה. This composition contains 38 pages and includes books 1-49.
[70] leaves, approximately twenty of them are left blank. Thick paper. Size: 10x13 cm. Minimal worming perforations. Bound in an ancient parchment binding.
