Rare first edition of an important work of responsa, printed by the author in his lifetime.
The sefer opens with a short preface from the author in which he expresses his appreciation to Mrs. Gracia Nasi and her son-in-law Don Yosef Nasi, who financially supported his yeshivah.
The first leaf, instead of a title page, bears an inscription from the printer stating that due to the burning of the Talmud in Italy, he hopes that after this sefer is published, he will print the Talmud.
Several revisions and glosses in an early script along the leaves of the Talmud.
