Tzala"ch al Masechet Beitzah with the Mahar"i Assad's Handwritten Glosses


Tzala"ch al Masechet Beitzah by Rabbi Yechezkel Landau. Prague, 1799. First edition.

The sefer was printed posthumously from the author's manuscript by his son, Rabbi Yisrael Landau, with a foreword by the latter.

There are about ten lengthy glosses along the book's leaves in Rabbi Yehudah Assad's script. Some are slightly cropped.

Lengthy inscription by Rabbi Yitzchak Tzvi Frei on the title page indicating that he bought the book from his teacher's, the Mahari"a's estate. With Rabbi Yitzchak's son's stamp as well as other inscriptions noting that the book belonged to Rabbi Yitzchak Frei.
