Advertising Portfolio for Arthur Szyk's Haggadah - Illustrated Parchment - Limited Edition of Only 250 Copies
Just before the publication of Arthur Szyk's Haggadah, 1940 edition, printed in 250 copies and sold for $500 each, there was a tasteful advertising package prepared for this special haggadah. The London Times described Szyk's haggadah as "deserving to be counted among the most beautiful books ever produced by man."
The package includes a double leaf made of high-end parchment printed in color.
Two black-and-white photocopies of the haggadah's binding, and a printed advertising leaflet.
Very fine condition. The original envelope in which the package was sent is included. (The envelope is torn.)
