Historic and especially exciting: Postcard-letter from Rabbi Yehudah Leib HaKohen Fishman-Maimon standing next to the Arch of Titus on Tisha B'Av, on his way to the Va'ad HaPoel HaTziyoni. Rome, 9 Av, 1926.
This emotional letter was sent to his father - Rabbi Avraham Elimelech (one of the Malbi"m's disciples) and his family, where he expresses his uplifting feelings at this special historic moment in his life.
The photograph depicts Rabbi Yehudah Leib and two of his friends standing next to the mighty Arch of Titus. In terms of physical size, they are midgets compared to it, but as descendants of Titus's conquered, with their hearts longing with desire to revive Israel - they are much, much greater...
Approximately 9x14 cm.
Fine condition. Minimal aging stains. Small "breaks" in the two corners.
