Megaleh Starim, Rare and Interesting Proclamation. Jerusalem, 1934

Megaleh Starim - rare and interesting proclamation by R' Yosef b"r Ya'akov Rabinowitz, who ascended from the Diaspora to settle in the Land of Israel in an agricultural colony. In the 1890s he acquired land and managed to plant many trees. He nicknamed the trees after the members of his family. Written in a picturesque way. Rare, not found in the National Library.

In this interesting poster, the aforementioned R' Yosef determined the guidelines that he and his companions will adopt in the Holy Land. "We shall sow fields ... We shall study G-d's Torah ... the words of our prophets ... shall be in our mouths ... we shall take workers ... from among our brothers ... we will not pay them unfairly ... as a person would honor his son ... and the foreigner who is not of our people ... we will see to his well-being ... we will contribute to the poor and the stranger ... and this scroll will be placed in the innards of the Land forever ..."

Approximately 27x42 cm.

Fine condition. Aging stains. Fold marks. Pencilled scribbles.
