The book was published in stages, with many title pages and three lengthy introductions about the poems, which constitute a work in its own right. With the leaves of approbations and the subscriber leaves. With a picture of musical instruments (lacking one leaf). Due to the book's being printed in parts over the course of six years, it was bound in several ways. The book is divided into four parts with separate title pages and pagination. Bound in two volumes. Approximately 17.5 cm. Fine-very fine condition: Ownership signatures from the time of printing appear on the top of some of the title pages. Aging stains. Several slight tears.
