Tefillin-shel-yad strap that was used by the Admo"r Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter, author of Imrei Emet of Gur, one of the most prominent Admor"im of all generations, who used it to wear Rabbeinu Tam tefillin. Special.
There is a famous saying from the 'Imrei Emet' - "Just as the tefillin bag is called sacred, so too is a Jew who wears tefillin called sacred." This is a sacred item, used by a sacred person, in his sacred service!!!
The Chiddushei HaRi"m said clearly that he does not want to use Rabbeinu Tam tefillin, but he does so because he is concerned that in the next world, Mashiach will determine with respect to tefillin that it is to be according to Rabbeinu Tam's opinion, and not Rash"i's.
Confirmation included from the Chassid Rabbi Chaim Yosef Gottlieb's family, who dealt with matters regarding this tefillin, that the strap was left to his son Rabbi Moshe Gershon, who attested before his passing that this strap was used by the Admo"r, the Imrei Emet of Gur.
