Tukachinsky Collection: Group of [15] Yerushalmi Proclamations
15 proclamations, including:
1. Save us, United Talmud Torahs of Jerusalem: To require all residents to maintain the schools. Tishrei 1934. 2. 'Agudat Yisrael has destroyed ritual slaughter in Jerusalem.' Describes the evolution of the shechitah affair. Signed by: Jerusalem Charedim. 3. 'Open protest and expression of sorrow', sharp protest against Agudat Yisrael which slanders and degrades the chief rabbinate. Signed by all the city rabbis and many Jerusalem sages. 4. 'Da'at Torah' that in every city there is to be a single ritual slaughter. Signed by all the leading rabbis in the country. 5. Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer's protest against Agudat Yisrael's ritual slaughter. 6. 'Vigorous protest' by Jerusalem sages supporting Agudat Yisrael, against those rabbis who support joining the National Assembly. 7. Proclamation announcing the release of a film for the yeshivah's benefit. 8. A leaf bearing a student's final exam.
