Ink and Wash on Paper Genealogical Chart The Spanish Kings - Calligraphic manuscript genealogical chart on paper, The Spanish Kings. The chart traces the lineages of the Austrian Habsburg, Spanish Habsburg, and Bourbon dynasties, commencing at the top with the unions of Ferdinand II and Isabella I, alongside Maximilian I and Mary of Burgundy. The document is executed in black and red ink with precise architectural lettering and includes a hand-colored heraldic illumination. This crest features the quartered arms of Castile and Leon beneath a stylized golden crown. A color-coded legend at the left distinguishes the different royal houses. Frame: 31 7/8” H x 23 3/4” W x 1” D. Many of the wrecks Peter dove in Bermuda and the Caribbean were Spanish ships, and he kept this chart of the Spanish kings on the wall of his third-floor office so he could place each one in its reign.
