Federal Style Mahogany Tall Case Clock - Federal style tall case clock constructed of mahogany with light wood stringing inlay. The hood features a swan-neck pediment centered by a brass eagle-on-ball finial and a glazed door. The arched painted metal dial is decorated with floral motifs in the arch and spandrels, featuring Roman numeral hour markers, an outer Arabic numeral minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial, and a date aperture. Ornate gilt metal hands are present. The waist of the case features reeded pilasters flanking a rectangular door with a brass keyhole escutcheon. The base is box-form with conforming stringing inlay and a shaped apron. The clock includes a pendulum and a single brass-toned skeleton key. Unsigned. 87” H x 17” W x 9 1/2” D.
