Robert Dix Manuscript on Parchment Land Indenture - Robert Dix manuscript on parchment land indenture dated September 1, 1708, regarding the conveyance of two acres of land in Little Ellingham to Robert Kiddall. Drafted during the seventh year of the reign of Queen Anne, the vellum document is executed in a chancery hand and features a decorative scalloped top edge. The prominent illuminated initial T incorporates the royal coat of arms. The manuscript is professionally housed in a double-sided gilt-wood frame with archival matting. Cut-out windows on the verso reveal historical endorsements, including a filing note and a receipt for the twenty-pound purchase price. Signed Robert Dix on the face next to a red wax seal, and signed Robert Dix, Elizabeth Muston, and Jo. Muston on the verso. Frame: 17 3/4” x 24 5/8”.
