Indigenous Style Carved Wood Blowgun - Indigenous style decorative blowgun constructed from a long wooden tube with a black-stained finish. The piece features elaborate multi-media ornamentation including a carved seed pod head with incised facial features and a linear headdress at the upper section. Centrally, a carved black mask is applied, featuring inlaid red bead eyes and an open mouth revealing a set of sharp animal teeth. Further decorative accents include small seashells, yellow and red beads, and raffia-like natural fibers. The ends of the blowgun are wrapped in textured reptilian hide. Accompanying the blowgun are two decorative darts with wooden shafts and fuchsia and purple synthetic feather fletching. 24” L x 2” W x 2” D.
