The collection includes Philippe Tailliez (French, 1905-2002), To Hidden Depths, New York: E. P. Dutton & Co., Inc., 1954; Jacques-Yves Cousteau (French, 1910-1997) and Philippe Diolé (French, 1908-1977), Diving for Sunken Treasure, Garden City: Doubleday & Company, Inc., 1971; and Francis E. Wylie (American, 1905-2002), Tides and the Pull of the Moon, Brattleboro: The Stephen Greene Press, 1979. Each volume is hardbound in publisher's cloth and retains its original pictorial dust jacket. The works are heavily illustrated with color and black and white photographic plates, diagrams, and maps documenting undersea research, shipwrecks, and marine science.
